I see a lot of homeschool families staging their own re-enactments of paintings by the masters. I’d been wanting to try it with my kids, and this painting by Scott Gustafson, while not an ancient work, caught our imagination.

We have three kids, and each has their own dog, so naturally, we had to attempt the scene with each set.

We didn’t execute the props, positions of characters, and angle of the camera very well, but we come away from this project with the sure knowledge that spectacles combined with a bonnet flatters no canine.
Which scene gets your vote?: Beadiest, Most Sinister, or Best All Around?
